Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has provided consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as the president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
